Perfect van Wamel has launched a new robust rotary mower with gearbox drive, the T-Rex, to help fruit growers effortlessly handle higher grass.
The T-Rex orchard and vineyard mower is available rear or front-mounted, with a front/rear hitch for flexibility, or optionally with a special “mow-spray” gearbox allowing you to combine your spraying and mowing and saving time and costs.
“Unlike Perfect van Wamel’s other range of V-belt driven orchard and vineyard mowers, the new T-Rex features a high-quality German gearbox with a direct and powerful transmission,” said Claire Seymour. “This not only means that it can handle long grass and vegetation with ease, it also means that growers can expect less wear and tear and a longer life span. It’s ideally suited for growers that are looking to invest in reliable machinery that will need minimal maintenance and will last for decades, not years.”
Equipped with two or three blades, the mower is compact, with the smallest model, the T-Rex 150, featuring a cutting width of 1.5m and an overall width of just 1.55m, and the largest, the T-Rex 290, a 2.9m cutting width and a 2.95m overall width. Horsepower requirements range from just 30hp for T-Rex 150, up to 70hp for the T-Rex 290.
The mowing deck is suspended for optimum contour following, which ensures an even mowing result regardless of ground conditions and as standard, the T-Rex comes with side or rear grass ejection, a large rear roller and a Walterscheid PTO.
